Send a proof, then deliver the finals

One proof with a clear question, notes you can point at, and a final folder that matches what was approved.

Clients rewrite history when the proof and the final live in different chats. A single handoff is calmer than a clever tool.

Tools

Affiliate links are switched off. The buttons below go to official sites, not paid links. Affiliate disclosure

  • Frame.io

Timestamped or pinned comments on a file, useful when a client needs to point.

  • WeTransfer

Sends the final files without a thread full of attachments.

  • Photopea

Marks up a proof JPEG when you do not need a review platform.

How to do it

  1. 1

Export a proof that is obviously a proof

A JPEG with the size in the name, not the layered working file. In Photopea you can add a small 'proof' mark if you worry it will be posted.

  2. 2

    Ask one question

What should change before final. If there are many stakeholders, Frame.io lets them point. If there is one person, an email is enough. A model can draft the email from your question. You send it.

  3. 3

    Change only what was asked

Do the notes. Do not regenerate the picture. If a note fights the drawing, say so before you comply.

  4. 4

    Deliver in one package

WeTransfer or your shared folder: the finals, the formats you promised, and a line that says these match the approved proof.
