Invoice, then nudge once
Create the invoice in a real tool. If you remind them, the draft may not change the amount or the tone into a threat.
Getting paid is a record. Wave, Square, or PayPal keeps the number. A chat log does not.

Wave
Invoicing and basic bookkeeping. The invoice is created here, not in a chat.
Square
Invoices and in-person payments in one account.
PayPal
Invoicing when that is how the client already pays.
Claude
Drafts a reminder. The amount comes from the invoice.
How to do it
- 1
Make the invoice where money lives
In Wave, Square, or PayPal, enter the fee you agreed, the due date, and what it was for. Send it from that tool.
- 2
Wait the time you said
If you promised net 14, do not nudge on day 2. Put the date on your calendar.
- 3
Draft a short reminder
Ask Claude for three sentences: the invoice number, the amount, and a polite ask. Tell it not to invent late fees you did not agree.
- 4
Send one, then decide
Send the edited note. If it fails, the next step is a person — a call, or advice — not a harsher generated letter.
