Read a contract in plain language

Use a model to translate clauses into questions. A lawyer answers the ones that matter.

Plain language is a reading aid. It is not a review. The useful output is a list of questions, not a green check.

  • Claude

Restates clauses in plain language so you know what to ask a lawyer.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Know what you are pasting

If the contract is confidential, do not put it in a consumer chatbot. Use a tool whose terms you accept for that file, or read it yourself and type only the clause you do not understand.

  2. 2

    Ask for questions, not approval

Ask Claude what each clause is trying to do, in one sentence, and what you might ask a lawyer. Tell it not to say the contract is safe.

  3. 3

    Mark money, rights, and cancellation

Highlight who owns the picture, who can use photos of it, kill fees, and what happens if the event shrinks. Those are the lines that change your life.

  4. 4

Get a person for the real job

For paid work that matters, a qualified lawyer reviews. Bring them your question list. Do not bring them the model's verdict.
