Build a commission form from the questions you repeat

Deadline, use, likeness, and how many revisions — asked once, before you draw.

Most awkward client emails are a missing question. A form does not replace the conversation. It stops you from starting without the facts.

  • Tally

A short form for the questions you always end up asking in email.

  • Google Forms

The same job if you already live in Google's tools.

  • Notion

A page that collects answers if that is where your jobs already live.

  • Claude

Drafts the questions. You decide what is in scope.

How to do it

  1. 1

List what changed your price last year

Rush, commercial use, a pet, a group, a second character. Those become questions. Ask Claude to phrase them without legalese, then cut any question you will ignore.

  2. 2

    Build it in one tool

Tally, Google Forms, or a Notion form. Required fields: deadline, where it will be seen, and whether you are drawing a real person.

  3. 3

Say what you do not do

A line at the top is kinder than a refusal later. If you do not draw from a single blurry photo, say so.

  4. 4

    Read every new response yourself

Do not pipe answers into a generator to 'summarize the client.' Reply in your own words with the next step.
