Prepare a sticker file the printer can cut

Make a clean edge, add the margin they ask for, and use their template.

Background removers are trained on photos. A drawing's thin line is not a person in front of a wall. Often the better path is levels, not remove.bg.

Tools

Affiliate links are switched off. The buttons below go to official sites, not paid links. Affiliate disclosure

  • Photopea

Cleans the edge of a drawing on white paper better than a photo background remover often does.

  • remove.bg

A background remover built for photos of objects and people. It can eat thin ink.

  • Vectorizer.AI

Optional vector cutline after the art is clean. Preview before you trust it.

  • Sticker Mule

A sticker printer with its own file guide. Follow that guide, not a generic one.

  • Printful

Also prints stickers. Use their template if they are the printer.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Read the template

Open the current file guide at Sticker Mule or Printful, whichever will print. Note bleed, safe area, and file type.

  2. 2

    Separate the drawing

For ink on white, use levels in Photopea and delete the paper, or the transparent-line workflow. Try remove.bg only if the source is a photo of a physical object, and check that it did not eat the contour.

  3. 3

    Add a cut margin

Give the outline the padding the guide asks for. If you vectorize a cutline, preview it and redraw corners that fused.

  4. 4

Upload and look at their preview

Their preview is the test. If the kiss-cut or the white border looks wrong, fix the file. Do not approve a preview you have not zoomed.
