Mock up a shirt or a tote in the printer's generator
Use the mockup from the company that will print the object, so the product matches the photo.
A pretty shirt scene from a different template can show a cut or a color the printer does not sell. The printer's generator is the honest picture.

Printful
A print-on-demand printer with its own product mockups.
Printify
Another print-on-demand service. Use the mockup that matches the blank you will actually sell.
Placeit
Extra lifestyle scenes when the printer's mockup is too plain.
How to do it
- 1
Pick the blank first
In Printful or Printify, choose the actual product and color. Read their current print-area guide before you design.
- 2
Place the art inside the area
Keep important faces and type away from seams and the edge of the print area. Export or generate their mockup.
- 3
Add a lifestyle scene only as a second image
If you use Placeit, say so, and keep the printer's mockup as the primary photo on the listing.
- 4
Order one
Before you announce a run, order a sample if you can. The mockup is not the cloth.
