Try a local color pass on a duplicate
If you use a diffusion plugin, keep it on your machine, on a copy, and paint over it.
Krita AI Diffusion can suggest color from your line and a few strokes without uploading the file. It will also invent texture you did not paint. The plugin is optional. The painting app is not.

Krita AI Diffusion
An optional local plugin for a low-strength color pass on a duplicate layer.
How to do it
- 1
Install only if you want the weight
Read the project's current install notes on GitHub. It expects a local diffusion setup. If that is more machinery than the picture is worth, skip this and flat-color by hand.
- 2
Duplicate the paint layer
Name the copy 'suggestion'. Hide it the moment it distracts you. The line and your real paint stay untouched.
- 3
Keep the strength low
Give it your palette scribbles and a short prompt about light, not about another artist. Use a low strength so the line survives. If faces or hands melt, undo.
- 4
Paint the final on a new layer
Sample ideas if you like them. Repaint edges, patterns, and anything that looks like a stranger's texture. Delete the suggestion layer before you export.
