Check that flyer type can be read
Run the title and the date through a contrast checker, then look at the page in gray.
A beautiful poster that hides the date is a drawing, not an invitation. Contrast checking is a measurement. It does not design the poster.

WebAIM Contrast Checker
Checks two hex colors against WCAG contrast ratios for text.
Canva
Where a workshop flyer often gets made. The checker still lives outside it.
Photopea
Desaturate the whole flyer to see if the type still separates from the art.
How to do it
- 1
Pick the two colors that matter
Eyedrop the type and the patch of art directly behind it. Ignore the average of the whole page.
- 2
Check the ratio
Put the two hex codes into the WebAIM contrast checker. Large titles can pass a lower bar than small body type. If the date fails, move it onto a flat shape.
- 3
Look in gray
Export a copy and desaturate it in Photopea. If you cannot find the words, the color was camouflage.
- 4
Read it at arm's length
On a phone, at the size it will be on a wall or in a story. The workshop name, the date, and how to register should be obvious.
