Set a 3D pose instead of tracing a mannequin
Turn a figure until the angle is right, then draw. The mannequin is not the finished person.
3D posers solve the problem of a body you cannot photograph today. They are wooden on purpose. Your drawing has to put the weight, the face, and the clothes back in.

How to do it
- 1
Pick one poser
Use JustSketchMe in the browser or Magic Poser on a phone. Set the action first: sitting, reaching, looking down. Do not start from a costume.
- 2
Orbit before you draw
Turn the figure until the overlap matches the picture in your head. Save a screenshot of that view only. Extra angles are for when you are stuck, not for a second drawing you did not plan.
- 3
Check the license on Sketchfab
If you need a chair, a bicycle, or a room, search Sketchfab and read the license on the model page before you rely on it. A downloadable model is not automatically yours to republish.

Draw past the doll
Block the pose, then leave the mannequin. Add the features a doll does not have: a specific face, cloth that folds because of a real body, hands that do the job.
